Perfection
Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man symbolises ‘ideal’ human proportions, reflecting the Renaissance fascination with symmetry, balance, and the intersection of art and science. Exquisite Human challenges this idea of perfection, celebrating human diversity through a playful and often hilarious interactive artwork. While still embodying the interplay of art and science, the piece utilises modern technology and the vibrant atmosphere of a music festival to create an accessible and inclusive experience.

The identity of the installation reflects its overall concept. The dynamic logo represents the diversity of humans, flexing in shape and size. The graphic language used in the animations and CTA is informed by the Vitruvian Man, and encourages festival goers to become co-creators, leaving their mark on the installation and blurring the lines between artist and observer.

Throughout the afternoon and into the evening the stage provided a backdrop of light and reflections dancing across simple shapes. This created an adaptable environment that framed the musicians’ performances and enhanced the visual experience for the audience.

Reshaping Craftsmanship
Reshaping Craftsmanship
The first part of the building utilised a large floating wall of backlit polycarbonate to act as a beacon which drew in visitors from the street, whilst also providing an ideal backdrop for daily live demonstrations of wheel throwing, tufting, embroidery, and other artistic skills. The design incorporated the polycarbonate material to imbue the space with a sense of lightness and integrated the event’s tagline into the architecture as an embodiment of the TA-DAAN ethos, creating a captivating element that dominated the store’s entrance.

Gateways
from history to the future
Porta Garibaldi on Piazza XXV Aprile is one of the historic gateways and entrances into the city of Milan. To celebrate this incredible location Another Way creates a gateway into a forward thinking reality. The container and the elements designed inside link to transportation, movement, and momentum, and provided a sustainable environment to create a temporary installation.

interactive wall
A 7-meter LED wall displayed a variety of interactive graphics relating to key elements from the brand. The artwork gave light and movement to the space and was manipulated through the visitors’ movements, allowing each person to create their own version of the experience, and change it for the next person.

GIORNALE LUMINOSO
Inside the Cupra store, visitors could leave answers to the question: what’s your impulse/future? Their answers were shown on a panel of marching text within the container. Combined with the interactive wall, the space emphasised how individual actions create a “snowball effect” and therefore highlight how every positive impulse is important and necessary. The levels of interaction allowed the visitor to visualise their own impulse in the surrounding space.

BESPOKE SOUNDTRACK
To create a multi sensory and accessible experience, we designed a bespoke soundtrack. Starting from the word Cupra and digitising the letters, natural and electric sounds were combined with the interactivity of the space resulting in a more immersive storytelling element, born directly from the Cupra brand.

A grid of plinths or ‘blocks’ was used to portray blockchain technology in physical space. Using every detail to bring this digital medium to life, binary code on each block spelt out MUSIC NFT, with the space arranged for visitors to move within the ‘blocks’, step inside the blockchain and discover the music of the featured artists.

Woven
A celebration of sustainable processes and a circular economy. A celebration of colour.
A celebration of people. A celebration of Mexico. The pavilion acts as an interpretation of a two bars loom, allowing colourful threads to run along its length, washing the space with dappled sunlight and areas of shade for people to enjoy. The concept creates a dialogue between an ancient but living art form and a contemporary way to use public space.

The Weave is an explosion of colour supported by one of the most sustainable materials and processes; the structure uses Guadua bamboo scaffolding, native to Mexico and known as one of the strongest forms of woody bamboo. Reusable and incredibly sustainable, the construction process is non destructive, allowing the reuse of the bamboo. The canopy is created with threads, providing shade during the pavilion’s life, and later gifted to the local community alongside instructions to create their own woven piece, encouraging engagement with the ancient art form.
RELAX / MEET / PLAY
RELAX / MEET / PLAY
The pavilion encompasses three zones, each accommodating a different requirement. Relax: an area of relaxation and reflection where the final textile of the weaving technique provides soft, comfortable seating. Meet: an area for meeting and lunching with large benches functioning as both seats and tables. Play: a playful area for children to enjoy a rain of multicoloured threads.

an Electric Future
First Area:
origins
First Area:
origins
In the first area, the space hosted three organic islands that came to life with projection mapped content. CUPRA’s origin story was interpreted and abstracted through artistic depictions of key moments. The content was projected from above and spilled onto visitors as they navigated between the islands. The intention was to elicit an emotional connection in the audience, akin to the intangible feeling of driving a CUPRA car, ultimately making everyone part of the journey.
Second Area:
Future

Future
In the second area, layers of gauze created an ethereal space: a conceptual perspective where CUPRA’s ideas and values were expressed through delicate projections. Cartographic imagery intertwined with electric circuitry, marking the culmination of CUPRA’s fully electric arrival in Milan. The dim interior was interrupted by a sliver of light from the outdoors, inviting visitors to follow its path. The historic building served as a contrasting canvas for the innovative electric future depicted through the projections.
